Who Are We?

TWLV is a Christian activewear brand that is focused on using natural fibres and reducing the use of plastics in clothes. Based in the Gold Coast, Australia. 

Our mission is simple: Healthy Activewear.

With more and more research coming out regarding the negative health risks associated with Microplastics and Forever Chemicals absorbed through the clothes we wear, we wanted an alternative.

Finding Activewear that isn't 100% plastic is difficult, while working out in 100% cotton isn't the most comfortable or enjoyable experience either.

So we made it our goal to:

• Reduce contact with plastic fibres without sacrificing comfort

• Make biodegradability a priority for a healthier environment

After a lot of research into the space, we've found the perfect balance that uses the least amount of plastic as possible without sacrificing comfort and functionality. 


The Meaning Behind TWLV

The number 12 (TWLV) in Hebrew is used to symbolise Gods power and authority, perfect governance, and completeness.

The 12 Tribes of Israel based upon the 12 sons of Jacob, the 12 spies sent to investigate the promised land, the 12 gates and 12 angels referenced in Revelation 21:12, the crown of 12 stars mentioned in Revelation 12, the Tree of Life is said to bear 12 fruits, there are 12 months in the Hebrew calendar (and our calendar) and of course, Jesus had 12 disciples.

TWLV is a brand that will always seek to put God first above all else, and as the name implies, God has the ultimate authority and governance over it

Truth

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" - John 14:6

and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free - John 8:32

Work

For even when we were with you, we would give you this command: If anyone is not willing to work, let him not eat - 2 Thessalonians 3:10

But if anyone does not provide for his relatives, and especially for members of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever - Timothy 5:8

Love

And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbour as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.” Mark 12:30-31

If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing. Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends. Valour

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go - Joshua 1:9

Learn to do good; seek justice, correct oppression; bring justice to the fatherless, plead the widow’s cause - Isaiah 1:17

But he who is noble plans noble things, and on noble things he stands - Isaiah 32:8

We believe that a persons value comes from what is on the inside, not the outside. It is not your external appearance that dictates your worth, but your character and your heart. Physical exercise should be an expression of the love you have for yourself and your body, to make sure that it is being looked after and treated with respect.

In addition, we believe that your physical health directly impacts your ability to contribute to society and the people around you more effectively, for a longer period of time.
